TEXT: Luke 2:52 - And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man

BIBLICAL CHARACTERS:  SOLOMON – He was the wisest man in the world in his time – I Kings 3:12 - Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.

MEMORY VERSE:
 Ecclesiastes 10:10(b) - ..but wisdom is profitable to direct..

Objective: Help the children understand how to increase in Wisdom.

How To Increase In Wisdom

1.By reading the word of God –
Psalms 119: 98 -99
98 Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me.

99 I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation.

2.By Praying and Asking God for Wisdom
 James 1:5 - If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
Matthew 7:7 - Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

3.By Getting The Help of The Holy Ghost
Isaiah 11:2 - And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD.

Daniel 6:3 - Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.
